This drill practices a basic switch or scissors pass but brings the scrum-half into the drill making it more specific to a game situation from a scrum or line-out.


 Explanation: This move is usually performed off a Scrum. It involves the Scrum Half passing to the first man who will then perform a switch pass with his outside player. This move is used to confuse and open gaps in oppositions defensive line.

The scrum-half should pass the ball to the first man at pace. The inside and outside man should run an "X" shape. When the two players cross, the ball should be placed or popped into the second man's stomach.
